Barbara-jean Chauvin Assistant Principal/ Director, Career Technical Education (CTE) Programs, MVRHS Barbara-jean Chauvin has been an educator for nearly thirty years and is currently the Assistant Principal/Career Technical Education Director at MVRHS. Prior to coming to the Vineyard, she was a teacher and administrator serving other Massachusetts districts. Barbara-jean holds a bachelor's degree in education from Fitchburg State University, and Master's degrees in Professional Communication from Clark University and School Leadership & Administration from Worcester State University. She is currently a doctoral student at Plymouth State University and serves on the Board for ACE MV. When not singing with the All Island Community Chorus, Barbara-jean lives in Edgartown with her husband Claude.

Spike Smith Walter Smith Plumbing Robert “Spike” Smith grew up on Martha’s Vineyard and began his plumbing training at age 16. He is a graduate of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. Spike has owned and operated Walter Smith Plumbing & Heating, Inc. since 1985. Spike is a founding member of the Martha’s Vineyard Builder’s Association and MV@Play. Spike is committed to expanding the opportunities of MVRHS technical education graduates through career training and mentorships. Spike lives in West Tisbury with his wife, Tracey and his daughters Olivia & Isabel.

Sam Hart Executive Director, Adult, Community Education Martha's Vineyard (ACEMV) Sam has been with ACE MV for 3 years. Before returning home to the island in 2011, he worked for nonprofit organizations in New York City and the CIS states (the former USSR), where he has been a program coordinator and workshop training facilitator for human rights groups at the United Nations. Prior to starting work at ACE MV, he taught English at the Martha’s Vineyard Adult Education Program (MVALP) and at a private school in Moscow, Russia. He holds a MA in East European and Russian Studies from NYU and speaks fluent Russian.

Chrissy Gould Human Resources, MV Hospital Chrissy Gould recently became the Director of Human Resources at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.  She has spent many years directing Human Resources for medical organizations.  Prior to MVH she worked at Hebrew SeniorLife in Boston, as the Director of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS.  She also worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, and Chartercare Health Partners in Providence, RI.  Chrissy has a degree in Accounting from Merrimack College, and a Masters in Leadership/Human Resources from Northeastern University. Chrissy moved to the Vineyard from Watertown, MA in January with her two golden retrievers (Calvin and Callie). She enjoys running, practicing yoga and spending time with family and friends.
