Lindsey Scott, Executive Director

Lindsey has been working to enrich the lives of young people on Martha’s Vineyard for 28 years. Lindsey helped to launch MVYouth in 2014, drawn by the clear vision, effective structure, and the collaborative funding approach. Previously, as a mother of two young children, Lindsey created Cinema Circus for the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival, an interactive film and theatrical event for children and families. In her early years on MV, Lindsey established a comprehensive visual arts program for the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School and taught art to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Lindsey studied art history at Colorado College and received an MAT in Art Education from Tufts University and the School the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Lindsey lives in Chilmark with her husband, Josh Scott, their two young adult children, and many chickens and sheep.
