Steven Barnes

Steven Barnes is Chairman of Global Private Equity at Bain Capital and is a member of ownership and the board of directors for the Boston Celtics. Barnes is Chairman Emeritus of Syracuse University and a member of the board of directors for New Profit. He previously served as Chairman of the board of Make-A-Wish of Massachusetts & Rhode Island, Co-Chairman of the board of directors of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, as a member of the Trust Board of Children’s Hospital in Boston and as a member of the board of directors of City Year Boston and the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. He holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Syracuse University. He has been married to Deborah for 32 years, has three adult children an a home in Edgartown.
